Mr. Kalinich leads Aon’s global practice to identify exposures and develop insurance coverages for technology errors and omissions, media liability, professional liability, intellectual property and computer networks. Before joining Aon in September 2000, he was CEO of Altima Technologies, a software provider. Earlier in his career, he was a partner in the Chapman and Cutler law firm, representing domestic and global organizations in the areas of intellectual property, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University and a law degree from the University of Michigan.

Kristy Harris

Ms. Harris manages the airline’s insurance programs, including its cyber coverage. She joined Southwest in 2008 as a senior analyst for corporate insurance. Before joining the airline and becoming a buyer of insurance, she gained valuable experience in the insurance business. She was a corporate aviation insurance underwriter at Phoenix Aviation Managers, and earlier an aviation general lines agent with Falcon Insurance Agency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in aviation business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She also has a private pilot’s license.

Lori Nugent

Ms. Nugent focuses her law practice on data security and cyber liability. She counsels clients on a range of matters and works with corporate boards, management and outside consultants to develop plans to address corporate data security and privacy risks. In the late 1990s, she was involved in drafting some of the first cyber insurance policies, helping businesses to secure financial protection from losses stemming from computer misuse. Now she continues collaborating with insurers, brokers and companies to create and upgrade insurance coverages to protect firms from data breaches. An author of many articles about cyber liability and security and a frequent speaker on the topics, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Knox College and a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
